WONDERBRA AD
If any of you remember MAD Magazines crazy fold up covers then you will love this advert. The Wonderbra could not be better demonstrated other than on a real pair of breasts. This ad features a cute draw string which brings the boobs together in a very flattering way. It's simple in its design and its interactivity is witty whilst effective.Wonder Bra, Wonder Ad, wonderful! by Lisa Evans
LEAP COCK
Artist Cees Krijnen has collaborated with with Freundenthal/Verhagen, Jason Wallis-Johnson and Oscar Süleyman to create this striking image which is both fantasy based and humorous. The work injects the penile imagery and literally sugar coats it in order for it to compliment its surroundings. This piece tackles the issues of virility and fantasy in a naive manner. by Andy G
PIERCING RING
When we brought you the strip club ads in Paris last week, we never imagined how far this kind of advertising could go. A piercing shop in Rotterdam has pushed that envelope even further with their 3D advertisement for their studio. This ad is both rich in aesthetics and practical in everyday use, in this case on a basketball court. Knowing what other types of piercings are available out there, it makes you wonder where the next ad is going to appear. by Andy G
NIKE SEX - JUST DO IT
If Nike where to launch a safe sex campaign, this would be it. Photographer Simon Wakelin came up with this smart concept image for Pony Sneakers which Pony rejected. (They didn't have the BALLS to use it) . The advertising project depicts an adonis champion standing to attention with his most valuable assets covered by his second most valuable assets. Sexy, striking and bold, if Nike decide to take this on, it will bring new meaning to the phrase JUST DO IT .
ANGELINA'S PITT STOP
Steven Klein is, arguably, the most influential fashion photographer of his generation. He has become the fashion world's superstar by understanding how to be transgressive and commercial at the same time. W magazine commissioned Klein for their mega upcoming issue featuring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt "playing" husband and wife in a stylised ‘60s suburban backdrop! The unprecedented 60-page spread, includes just two pages of text and is out in July.www.stevenkleinstudio.com

THE LAST BRUNCH
THE LAST BRUNCH
Thursday, 19 May 2005
With author Dan Browne's international best seller The Da Vinci Code setting spin off trends in T.V specials, games and even a film, the latest advertising campaign from French fashion house Marithe & Francois Girbaud shows a gaggle of super models renacting the scene of Lenardo da Vinci's Christ's Last Supper. The centre figure represents Christ , with her hand gesture offering fashion to the world, like Christ offered peace. The Male figure represents Judas and portrays mere mortal males as easily tempted. Arguably true !
Marithe & Francois Girbraud's influences are obvious. The appeal of mystery, conspiracy and the revelation of hidden truths are all elements of Da Vinci Codes success and are portrayed blatantly through the use of female models in the traditional roles of men in this controversial advertising campaign. And what's a bit of controversy worth without a banning ? An Italian court has had the ad banned and it looks like the French are about to follow suit.
